Conrad Seoul is the epitome of industrial luxury. Here, business tycoons come together to mix business with pleasure and relax among skyscrapers. In Seoul, the Yeouido Business District is famously nicknamed Asia’s “Wall Street.” Situated in the bosom of that chaos and creation is a building as grandeur as the intellects that convene inside its walls.

Conrad Seoul is a five-star hotel rising 38 stories high into the Seoul skyline. The building is directly connected to the International Finance Center and an elaborate underground mall. The hotel itself offers 18 meeting rooms and total event space of 2,548 square meters. Additionally, the imposing space also includes six on-site restaurants, 434 guest rooms, an executive lounge, an indoor pool, spa, fitness and business center.

This Hilton property opened in Nov. 2012 as part of the company’s desire to spread its contemporary luxury brand portfolio throughout Asia and South Korea. In its tenure, the hotel has maintained an impressive list of awards. Conrad Seoul ranked twice among Asia’s Best Hotels in Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards. The hotel continues its longstanding career of being one of the most luxurious places to conduct business and pleasure in one of the world’s most futuristic locations.

THE HEART OF BUSINESS

Yeouido is a large island on the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. It is the city’s main business district, which houses dozens of financial institutions, investment companies and banking offices. The island is a place where fast-paced thinkers and revolutionary idealists come together to discuss the future of tomorrow. Placed in the center of the hub, and occupying one of four towers in the IFC Seoul, is Conrad Seoul. The hotel is within walking distance of the Yeouido subway and less than 10 kilometers from the City Center, Building 63 and neighboring cities Gangnam and Hongdae. Gangnam is known for its high-end nightlife and shopping while Hongdae is famous for its art and music scene.

SKY-HIGH ROOMS

Returning from the streets of South Korea, guests arrive at Conrad Seoul where they will find comfort, luxury and breathtaking views. For good reason, the hotel’s penthouse suite was named South Korea’s Leading Hotel Suite in 2020 and 2021 by the World Travel Awards. The 3100 square foot space is the countenance of luxury. The opulent room includes separate living, dining and bedroom areas complete with a butler, spa bath, mini bar and work area. With stunning views of the city and Han River, the Presidential Suite includes full access to the Executive Floor.

Additional rooms with access to the Executive Floor are the remaining two suite options – Conrad Suite and Grand King Corner Suite – and the five Executive Rooms. The Grand King Corner Suite is one of the largest of its kind in South Korea. At 96 sq. m., the private room offers a 180-degree panoramic view of Yeouido City. One tier below the suites is the executive rooms. Each room comes with the option of a king or queen bed and a river or city view.

Guests who book either option earn exclusive access to the hotel’s Executive Lounge. The lounge provides guests with complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails high above the striking Seoul skyline. The top floor is closed to guests under the age of 14 after 4:30 p.m. It’s the perfect adult-only, after-hours spot in the hotel.

LUXURY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Conrad Seoul boasts all the standard amenities of a five-star hotel but living up to their city’s nickname of Asia’s “Wall Street” the technology at this hotel goes above and beyond just the usual Wi-Fi and business center. Each room is equipped with Smart In-room Multimedia Technology. Utilizing Apple-based products, guests can use the complimentary Mac computers for personal or business ventures. Those staying at the hotel simply for pleasure can find enjoyment watching the flat-screen TVs available in the main room and bathroom mirror. Rooms are complete with smart toilets and advanced Nespresso machines.

Although immense in its technological power, the hotel does not swamp luxury for eco. Conrad Seoul implements a “Smart Luxury” mentality. The hotel harvests rainwater for use in irrigation, uses solar panels to heat water, control indoor temperatures through the dual-sheet glass and conserves electricity where possible. The Korea Green Council gave the hotel an excellent grade. The U.S. Green Building Council also gave Conrad Seoul the Gold Certificate for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

MIXING PLEASURE WITH BUSINESS

Hailed in technology and renowned for its business amenities, this five-star hotel does not leave out pleasure. The Wellness Zone on the eighth floor features a 24-hour fitness center equipped with a swimming pool and golf driving range. Going one floor up, guests can find the Conrad Spa where professional therapists provide personalized treatments. The facility operates eight treatment rooms with various services, including hydrotherapy, facials, and couple’s massages.

Conrad Seoul is also host to six elegant restaurants from Italian and East Asian fare to casual international cuisine and grab-and-go meals. Those looking to dine at the top of the world can visit 37 Grill and Bar on the 37th floor where the preparation of the food is as exquisite as the view. The open show kitchen provides entertainment while the extensive wine cellar complements the atmosphere and the meal. Atrio is another fine-dining option with traditional Italian dishes and décor. Those searching for quick food options between meetings can try the relaxed noodle bar, three-meal buffet, urban pantry or coffee shop. In the evening, guests can unwind at the hotel’s exotic rooftop bar. VVertigo is a hidden gem among skyscrapers where guests can make their own gin and tonic or craft beer.
