"And when midnight strikes, ‘Upstairs at The Townhouse’ becomes candle-lit, music is elevated, and the vibes change from the tranquil day time scene to a cosy bar for a night of laughter and hubbub."

‘Upstairs at The Townhouse’ feels like an exclusive member’s club with elegant designs and fixtures such as the club floor lamps, the mahogany dining tables, the comfy, plush chairs and classy townhouse windows. There’s an impressive cocktail bar   with a gorgeous backdrop of light blue painted with an abstract of swirls and circles in dim colours. It looks good against the splatter of royal red which the upstairs lounge is indulged in.

The interiors made the setting feel remarkably cosmopolitan but incredibly homely at the same time. Amongst the cacophony of conversations, the edgy and remastered sounds of the DJ had heads bobbing to the beat and created an unperturbed and mellow vibe, it was good-humoured and with dim lighting, inventing a somewhat cosy ambience.

"The interiors made the setting feel remarkably cosmopolitan but incredibly homely at the same time, it was a place where I felt the utmost comfort as soon as I was seated without the necessary shuffle here and there. It already set the bar high for my exciting dining experience as soon as I sank into the sofa."

For the starters or as the menu calls it, ‘the Nibbles’, guests will enjoy the Crispy Fried Squid with sriracha mayo. For the mains, the Smoked Haddock and Salmon fishcakes   resting on a bed of slow-cooked seasonal greens and beside it a generous helping of home-made tartare sauce. It looked ordinary and somewhat unadorned however, the same can’t be said for the brilliant taste. The crispy golden layer gives a crunchy first bite followed by the soft and smooth texture of the flaky fish.

For desserts, diners will not be disappointed with the crispy dough balls with butterscotch sauce and cinnamon sugar. Expect fluffy and lightweight dough balls, and once dipped into the gooey butterscotch sauce, taste heavenly while melting in the mouth.

Guests will find a  a warming and welcoming atmosphere at Bath Townhouse’s Coppa Club. It is the place for an evening with savory vibes, top notch food and a seamless and friendly service. One can dive into a memorable culinary journey through elegant, beautifully garlanded, and comfortable dining rooms so all you must do is kick back and relax and get ready for an unforgettable dining experience.
