Think Skyfall. Think Casino Royale. Think Diamonds are Forever. Think Bond, James Bond. At The London Cabaret Club, luxury dining experience, they actually do all the thinking for you. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Because this is No Time to Die. It’s a time to dine.

The London Cabaret Club combines high-end dining with exhilarating live performances. Seated in Bloomsbury Square, in the heart of London, it’s not a wonder that the Club is distinctly British. With the British Museum on one side and the Royal Opera House on the other, The London Cabaret Club has a lot to live up to. And it does so too. This dining experience is a sophisticated celebration of the rich heritage of British culture. So, whether you’ll be revelling in your roots, or coming to learn the lays of this land, it’s an experience for anyone whose standard is luxury.

Even before The London Cabaret Club snapped up the Bloomsbury Ballroom in 2015, the venue has had a past pinpointed by performance. As the Club owner, Evelina Girling, says, the Ballroom ‘has played an iconic role in London’s nightlife’. It’s seen gigs by Amy Winehouse and Adele. But it’s also seen a whole lot more, right from when it was opened way back in the 1920s.

Bask in the energy of the Roaring Twenties. Because as soon as you step in, you step back. You step back to a time of Gatsby and Prohibition. And a little closer to home, you step back to the years of Virginia Woolf and her sex-fuelled Bloomsbury Group. Most of whom lived just around the corner.

The sound of jazz and the sight of the 1920s art-deco style Bloomsbury Ballroom certainly set the scene. Come in December if you’re yearning for more of Roaring Twenties, and you can enjoy a Gatsby Christmas theme. But for now, it’s all about Bond. And what better way to celebrate 58 years of British espionage than with a live entertainment dining experience?

"This is No Time to Die. It’s a time to dine"

Arrive a little early and you’ll be welcomed into the Rose Room. Intimate sofa spots are complemented by the rose-covered bar. Flowers line the shelves of spirits making just about everything a feature of beauty. Let champagne arrive to your table or order a cocktail, either from the martini trolley or the signature cocktails menu. Soon you’ll be greeted by a sleekly smart man playing the trumpet. Then a woman whose singing is as sexy and sparkly as her dress. Taking the stage with such ease means they both have that look about them – a licence to kill look.

Enter through the double doors into the Ballroom and you won’t know where to look. Your eyes are consumed by the sight of white tablecloths and the misty air of colourful lighting. Of course, there’s also the much-anticipated centre stage. Splash out on a Royal Diamond ticket and you’ll be honoured with the best seats in the house. These elevated tables ensure that every last dance move from the west-end performers is appreciated. Don’t just expect singing and dancing, however. Expect all sorts of speciality acts. And expect the best of Bond songs as well.

"It’s all about the glamour and the glitz as you sit back to enjoy 007’s greatest hits"

Such performances are flavoured, throughout the evening, with five-star dining. The senses are sparked as soon as the starters are served. Choose from confit salmon and prawns on a bed of tomato dashi and chilli or chicken and smoked potato croquette with a Romesco sauce.

Moving onto mains will see a dilemma between the duck breast with a red wine risotto or the halibut fillet glazed with lardo along with parsnip purée, samphire, and verjuice. At the Cabaret Club, it may be luxury dining, but it’s generous dining too. The food isn’t just a taster to try, it’s a meal to enjoy. And for those with a sweet tooth, the desserts will be enjoyed most of all. Either way, you won’t be disappointed. Dig into a chocolate fondant with nougatine biscuit and toffee sauce or tuck into an impressively presented raspberry Mille-Feuille.

After dessert, even though the plates might have been cleared, the pouring doesn’t stop. Guests are invited to give their own dancing a try as the Ballroom becomes a sort of club. The DJ and his decks take over the stage for a continued night of entertainment.

The live entertainment at The London Cabaret Club is a truly opulent dining experience. Theatre is brought to food at the 1920s Bloomsbury Ballroom. And it’s all about the glamour and the glitz as you sit back to enjoy 007’s greatest hits.
