The mission of The Conte Club is to make your heart beat faster – in the best possible way. As one of a handful of private travel icons in the luxury space, co-founders Rebecca Fielding and Andrew Binks knew their company would be something unique from the very beginning. By creating the most beautiful and luxurious journeys, they focused on producing a memorable feeling rather than a standard itinerary. By recreating the exciting, heart-beating feeling when something is special, the company created something extraordinary. “In all our lives, regardless of wealth, or opportunity, that’s what we are constantly seeking out – our hearts to beat faster,” Fielding said.

On the surface, The Conte Club is a luxury travel company offering bespoke travel services to an elite clientele. Based in London, England, the private membership model offers clients flexibility, privacy and personal services. Conte Club services also include a private jet club, an events program, corporate and luxury brands PR trips.

However, from the inside looking out, Fielding describes the company as much more than just a luxury travel service. “We feel that we are doing things uniquely to us rather than different to everybody else,” she said. Built on empathy and personalization, The Conte Club has the ability to say, ‘No’ when a request is unethical or unreasonable.

With an almost philanthropic mindset, Fielding started The Conte Club with the idea of creating something different. Of the first trip she planned, she says “I thought to myself, what would make them dizzy, in the best possible way? What would make their hearts beat faster? Because nothing did anymore and that’s something that all our clients say, ‘We’ve been there before. We’ve seen everything.’” The mindset took hold. Fielding studied with mentors from the highest corners of the luxury travel industry. Add in a handful of people excited to join the company, and The Conte Club launched and grew quickly.

The company’s rapid growth comes from The Conte Club’s method of creating personalized trips through trial and error and researching every experience firsthand. The travel club has full-time travelers retained to test, discover and explore to make whole-hearted recommendations. If there is a special trip planned, the travel company sends out account managers, even before the planning stage, to do a thorough walkthrough. This ensures a firsthand collection of the best hotel views, the most authentic experiences and a trip free of worry. Nothing is left to chance.

Fielding said she found this method to be the best way to stay ahead of Google. “When we say Conte, it’s Italian for ‘con’ and ‘te’ which means ‘with’ and ‘you’ and that’s what we are, we are with you. We’ve seen it before you. Anyone can Google. We have to be better than the travel guides that other people will bastardize. We must go and see it for ourselves and sending someone out is extraordinarily powerful. It’s the difference between sitting down with a friend face to face and a text message conversation.”

Sending out scouts also allows The Conte Club the ability to create trips that are private and discreet, a highly sought-after trait for higher-end clients. The club ensures complete invisibility for those guests by not only searching for the best private locations ahead of each trip but also by utilizing an in-house security detail. Ops teams are usually disguised to blend in, and used to divert unwanted attention and keep high-profile guests safe. Private travel also extends to unrecognizable travelers who simply want to feel a higher level of intimacy.

The Conte Club added a private jet club to their list of services for travelers who fly private frequently. It is the only travel company to offer a full travel club membership as a standard. With a focus on value, service and safety, the Jet Plan Program brings a private charter experience to guests with the unique benefit of having a full travel club membership for every Jet Plan holder. With more than 80 percent of members using private jet travel, Fielding said adding the jets has been a game-changer for their clients. “More than three-quarters of our clients have moved over to us to handle their jet work. They want us to tie every component of their trip together. It’s key in and key out.” The Conte Club works directly with owners and handpicks aircraft suppliers and handlers. The company also vets each new plane.

With the success of the Jet Plan, The Conte Club has plans to expand its luxury travel program with a new events service while also exploring how to be more sustainable and ethical with their carbon footprint. One side of the spectrum includes the idea of expanding the use of electrical jets and establishing an ethics committee to focus on more sustainable trips. The event planning service may include organizing birthdays, weddings, holiday parties, destination events and more. Fielding said while both new additions are a natural progression of the company, she hopes it will play a role in client retention and interest.

The Conte Club retains 98 percent of its members year on year and with little to no online presence and social media, the company is built mostly on word-of-mouth and making lifelong connections. To future clients, Fielding says, “If you are looking to travel with a company who gets to know you in a meaningful way, who is a long-term extension of your private office, brings exceptional service, the world’s most private and beautiful experiences with a blend of culture and luxury – then we are the company for you.”
