While Southern Africa is a year-round destination, traditionally the dry winter months (April to October) are best for game viewing and short afternoon thunder showers that clear up within an hour, occur from December to March. During the latter season, the bush is alive with newborn animals, so make sure to pack accordingly. It is best to pack neutral color cotton clothing for all game drives and bush walks and to avoid dark colors as they tend to attract bugs. And although the lodge provides a luxury experience, formal wear is not required.
Singita which is the Shangaan word for ‘Place of Miracles’, holds this mantra true for all of its destinations providing miraculous experiences for their customers. This begins with their firm commitment to the conservation of each region, by continuing to build upon three core pillars: biodiversity, sustainability and community. Visitors to the Lodge can delight in the fact that their visit is having positive impact as it contributes to numerous conservation initiatives and community empowerment programs. These programs ensure a better future for the land and wildlife along with the local communities as they empower and help with education, healthcare, nutrition, training and business development.
