What’s better than bold, flowy and elegant silhouettes? The added bonus of sustainability and regenerative materials. Savannah Morrow is a brand which found inspiration within nature and the ocean to create a label which harmonizes coastal beauty with creativity. From artisanal fabrics to elegant shapes which hug the body in just the right places, this label knows how to make your resort-wear looks catwalk-worthy whilst keeping eco-friendliness at the forefront.

Created in 2017 in the Southern coasts of Australia, Savannah Morrow has dedicated its existence to work in symphony with nature. The label believes in portraying sustainability as an art form through their designs. In doing so, they work exclusively with living fabrics which are intentionally grown to minimize environmental harm whilst simultaneously supporting local businesses and artisans. Fashion has never been an ally to the environment but Savannah Morrow has worked to merge this creative industry with regenerative practices with a long-term outlook.

Savannah Morrow Swimwear

The label’s multitude of swimwear designs all follow their sustainability mantra. Whilst there are many brands out there that are working to make sustainable swimwear, the options are still slim. Additionally, the brand acknowledges that whilst materials such as recycled polyester does produce less greenhouse emissions, it is still plastic, a material which is not beneficial for the environment.

"In a similar yet more conservative style, this garment begs to be worn out of the four walls"

Savannah Morrow uses a blend of microtencel and elastane for their swimwear fabric. It is derived from renewable and wood-based fibers, ensuring that the final product is fully biodegradable and compostable. Whilst this does mean that part of their production process uses synthetic fibers, the label remains transparent throughout this decision: “Introducing a small percentage of synthetics was a hard decision. But I wanted to give our customers a better option, and this is it,” explains Savannah, the CEO of her namesake brand. “We will continue working with suppliers pushing innovation in materials that will eventually eliminate synthetic fibers altogether.”

Sofia Dress

As part of the 2024 collection, this crochet garment showcases just how slow they prioritize their manufacturing process. It is hand-knitted by their knitting partners, guaranteeing a thoughtful and detailed piece which hugs the body in a flattering and precise way. The texture and pattern design embodies the intricacies of the crochet trend whilst portraying an elevated style. We also can’t forget the small areas of this maxi dress which show a little more skin to really secure that restore-wear feeling.

Giovanna Robe

In a similar yet more conservative style, this garment begs to be worn out of the four walls. By pushing the boundaries of leisure-wear, Savannah Morrow has designed a robe which can both be paired with the matching pants or be worn on top of one of their maxi dresses (such as the Sofia Dress). The oversized design marries perfectly with the adjustable belt, creating a flattering look no matter the body type.

"Its wrap-around feature, bold patterns and tassel details make the transition from swimsuit to elevated resort-wear seamless and flattering"

Who says you can only wear a robe indoors? The flowing sleeves and knee-length design creates the perfect balance between a couch-worthy outfit and an elegant date-night style. For the cherry on top, the fabric is made by their weaving artisans in India using handlooms. This not only supports the small villages which don’t require electricity to create such beautiful textiles, but it also ensures the preservation of fabric making, an art form passed down for generations.

Lydia Skirt

One of the best parts of a beach or pool day is being able to walk a few steps to the closest bar to get a cocktail. The most efficient and stylish way to do so is by grabbing something easy and quick to cover up. Enter the Lydia Skirt. Its wrap-around feature, bold patterns and tassel details make the transition from swimsuit to elevated resort-wear seamless and flattering.

The skirt’s silhouette fits the body with elegance, made even more fitting by the adjustable wrap feature. While the fabric is light and flowy, the design becomes double-layered once wrapped to avoid it from being too sheer. Additionally, the varying lengths of the hem once fitted on the body adds another level of style and elegance, turning this otherwise simple design into an elevated look.

Whether style or artisanal production is your priority, Savannah Morrow has figured out a way to blend these two crucial details together. Dress in flattering silhouettes designed and produced by local artisans and thoughtful community practices. Woven maxi dresses, intricate wrap skirts and elegant robes are just some of the classic garments which showcase the brand’s innovative take on resort-wear. Sustainable swimwear has never looked so flattering and elegant.
