An award-winning restaurant, renowned as one of Asia’s top 50, Les Amis is a culinary delight and the pinnacle of luxury and fine-dining in the heart of Singapore. The restaurant offers a Japanese influenced twist on classic French cuisine, and has impacted Singapore’s exquisite dining scene since 1994.

Les Amis boasts four private dining rooms over 2 floors, minimalist, chic décor and a gallery-worth of art collections by Chinese artists including Wang Kun and Tang Zhi Gang. Chef Lepinoy, alongside Pastry Chef Cheryl Koh, has achieved several Michelin stars, building his plethora of culinary skills and gastronomic knowledge since 1990. As the Director of Culinary and Operations at Les Amis, he displays his technical skills creating unique, impressionable dishes as he trains novices chefs and amazes guests.

Chef Koh has also created an incredible impact on this one-of-a-kind restaurant as she sources high-quality desserts created with rare, seasonal fruits such as Indian Alphonso Mangoes and Iranian pistachios. Guests can enjoy the pleasure of indulging in her beautifully presented artisanal desserts.

The restaurant’s Sommelier, Rajeshwaran Raja Gopal, completes the luxury restaurant with his expertise of wine, leading the team of sommeliers at Les Amis and offering his experience of wine knowledge. With his high service and wines ranging from local names to divine, rare pieces, the atmosphere of Les Amis perfectly compliments the fine food to create the ultimate dining experience.

A glance at the menu of Les Amis allows guests to admire the seasonal dishes, with fresh ingredients and a unique intermingling of textures and tastes. The A la Carte menu varies depending on fresh sources, whilst the lunch and dinner menus boast local seafood, and rare, imported, delights.

The Winter tasting menu, ‘Le Menu Hiver Degustation’, boasts a ‘seamless dining experience’ for the table, with six impeccable courses. To begin, guests are presented with ‘Le Crabe “Kegani” En Frivolité Au Caviar: kegani crab prepared au court-bouillon served in a roll of feuille de brick with caviar’. This exquisite starter combines fresh, Japanese crabs which provide a sweet balance to the saltiness of the caviar resting on the roll. This delightful dish is displayed beautifully, with tomato-rose garnishes, inviting guests on this incredible culinary journey.

The second dish of the tasting menu, ‘La Langoustine De Loctudy: langoustine from loctudy with courgette & emulsion of extra virgin olive oil from provence’, further emerges guests in this experience of sensationally balanced tastes with exquisite presentation. The crustacean presented with a flamboyant tail is bare, to show off the succulent and tender flesh. Chef Lepinoy embellishes the meat with ribbons of courgette and creamy caviar to display and amaze the dining guest.

In comparison to the tasting menu, guests may also choose to delight in the a la carte menus for lunch and dinner, as well as the classic menus. For a truly insightful dining review, we have chosen to also highlight dishes from these menus, which further incorporate seasonal produce, beautifully displayed abound fresh seafood.

The four-course winter classic menu features ‘Homard Bleu A L’Américaine: blue lobster served “à l’américaine” style with pearls of celeriac’, and ‘La Côte De Veau De L’Aubrac: grilled côte de veau from aubrac with natural jus & green asparagus’. Both dishes are stunningly garnished with greenery, the meat soft and tender with succulent, sensational flavours, and styled with an international flourish.

Concluding the seasonal menu is the ‘Le Mille-Feuille A La Pistache: layers of puff pastry and dacquoise with sicilian pistachio and dark chocolate cream’, a delight created by Les Amis’ Pastry Chef Cheryl Koh. The crisp pastry layers are settled between the vibrancy of the pistachios and the thrill of the rich, dark chocolate cream.

The a la carte lunch menu allows the opportunity for a ‘curated dining experience’, as larger dining groups may enjoy a personalised menu, unlike the tasting and classic menus which are prepared for the whole table to indulge.

The fixed prices for a two course with dessert or three course with dessert option, include highlights from the other menus, as well as featured specialities such as ‘Le Soufflé Aux Oursins: sea urchin soufflé lightly flavoured with terragon & dill presented with sauce coraline’, an entrée chaude, and ‘Le Canard De Challans: roasted challans duck breast from vendée served with glazed baby turnip’, un plat principaux.

Alongside the expected and renowned seafood displayed at this restaurant, the menu boasts tempting and succulent meats, sourced and displayed with the finest ingredients.
