Croatia’s is a destination well known for its picturesque coastline of crystalline waters, warming sun, quaint seaside villages and the embracing splash of the Adriatic Sea. To the west of Split, further down this bend of coastline, you will find a slice of seaside bliss at Le Méridien Lav.

Located to the east of Split along the famous Dalmatian coast is Le Méridien Lav. Spljet, or as it is known in English, Split, is a municipality town with rich history in the middle of the dramatic coastline in Croatia. It dates back as a settlement to around 295AD – from surviving both Roman and Venetian occupation, to joining the area formerly known as Yugoslavia, there is a wellspring of history to see and discover. Also on offer are a range of stunning Suites, which have a different tone than the humble guest rooms. The suites instead offer contemporary, refined luxury. The Presidential Suite boasts a full-size separate living space, with stylish lounges for optimal comfort. The bathrooms are large and marbled with polished gold finishes. The finest detail is the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and windows, which can be fully opened to allow for guests to enjoy the warm sea breeze whilst lounging in total solace.

From the impressive infinity pool, the sparkling Adriatic glistens in the hot summer sun. The pool view spans over the private beach and is flanked by plenty of beach chairs and private cabanas for peak relaxation. On the pebbly beach there are comfy deck chairs, and the waters are soothing and still, making the perfect location for a casual dip or float.

Re:Cupera Spa Le Meridien Lav

Inside the wellness centre, Re:Cupera, there’s another pool: this one is heated and built in a large circular shape with twinkling constellation-style lights overhead. The resort offers up plenty in the way of relaxation and wellness.  For instance, after taking a dip in the indoor heated pool, head to the Finnish-style sauna or infrared room before getting a tailored massage or facial. Dining at Le Meridien Lav

On the beachfront promenade are several dining locales that are sure to satisfy any food desires. From Italian pizza to local Croatian grilled meats, light poolside bites and everything in between – it’s all at Le Méridien Lav. Spalatum restaurant serves up a chef’s choice range of Croatian and international favourites and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The chic Conlemani restaurant is a nod to neighbouring Italy, with fresh produce donned on the walls. A hint of basil floats on the air here, and the woodfired pizza over toasts sourdough pizza bases. It’s the perfect spot for casual dining. The 7 Palms restaurant offers everything in the way of grill and barbecue and is the ideal choice to dine at before or after a visit to the nearby infinity pool or pebbly beach.

Gooshter Beach Club at Le Meridien Lav

The star of the show, however, is the Gooshter Beach Club. Goosht means “good feeling” in the local dialect, and good feelings only are on offer at this trendy spot. The Gooshter Beach Club is perfect for mixed street-food style cuisine but also offers up cool cocktails and a place to party for the evening. The dining and drinking hotspot is open-style with palm leaf roof and chic cabana seating. Best of all is the view, which stretches right out to the crystalline waters and beyond.
