As a woman with many talents, JoJo currently resides as the Founder and Director of JJD Consultancy, The Members Club, and the EU Regional Director of the World Trailer Awards. These various positions keep JoJo busy on her professional career. Outside of work when she can find the time, JoJo enjoys going to the cinema, the theatre, and comedy nights. Travel is another interest of JoJo’s as work has brought her around the world. She enjoys visiting Ibiza and one day soon New Zealand.

JoJo Dye’s Career

JoJo’s lengthy and successful career within the Film and TV industry began by complete accident. After leaving school at 15 and having no clue of what she wanted to pursue, JoJo fell into the industry through her networking skills. In fact, JoJo landed a job in 1990 at Screen magazine which would be her first leap into the film industry. In 1992, JoJo began working at Moving Pictures International, a trade magazine that launched in Cannes in 1990. Moving Pictures focused on the film industry concerning various film festivals with JoJo heading the company as Advertising Director.

As JoJo’s talent expanded, she soon began working for MoPix in 1992 to organize their Cannes party. Later in 1998, JoJo started Fusion Events, a bespoke Film and TV event company, which ran until 2005. Based on initiation and support from others, JoJo’s career continued to take off with the opportunity of joining the Abu Dhabi Film festival team. JoJo maintained a position as the Director of Special Effects for six years at this company. Although the role itself could be quite chaotic, JoJo enjoyed the experience. Another essential role that JoJo maintained after this position was at Ealing Studios as the Press and Marketing Director. In this position, JoJo organized film premieres, PR strategies, and more.

JJD Consultancy

After gaining experience at Moving Pictures and Fusion events, JoJo founded JJD Consultancy in 2005, a bespoke marketing company for Film and TV professionals. The purpose of JJD Consultancy is to create tailored campaigns and events for companies both nationally and internationally based. Through JoJo’s determination and previous experience, JJD Consultancy is known as the company that Film and TV industry professionals hire to create high-end international events. The secret to her success as JoJo shares is her ability to ask clients their vision and then carry out that vision perfectly.

Cannes Members Club

In 2013, JJD Consultancy expanded to form The Members Club, an exclusive site in Cannes where industry professionals can network and conduct business meetings. Founding The Members Club has proved to be a slight challenge as over the years, JoJo has had to move the site three times due to a number of issues with the venue. Of course, JoJo hasn’t let this affect her determination to provide the perfect site for industry professionals to meet as she recently worked with the owner of Long Beach and put together the site for the Members Club in 6 weeks. This process includes setting up the site from scratch each year with JoJo overseeing the installation of a terrace, tent, wooden floor, furniture, AV, WIFI, and more. During the day, industry professionals can use the site for networking purposes but after 5 pm, the site becomes a private venue for hire. At least 800 people can fit comfortably on site with sometimes six separate events being hosted in one night.

World Trailer Awards

A recent role that JoJo took on in 2021 is the position of EU Regional Director for the World Trailer Awards. The World Trailer Awards is an event that celebrates creatives who make entertainment trailers. In 2022, the event launched in Portugal where it was filmed, edited overnight, and broadcasted with AMD as its sponsor. The event focused on emerging talent across the globe and the 5 award recipients received graphic cards from AMD. This year, the World Trailer Awards has grown exponentially with 45 global companies in the competition to pick up an award. JoJo’s position as EU Regional Director has provided a new creative outlet to explore a different aspect of the TV and Film industry.

Shout London

Another recent professional adventure that JoJo has taken on is aiding with an event known as Shout London, an annual Film & Arts Festival focused on Mental Health. This event is free to attend and aims at celebrating international artists, poets, musicians, performers, and filmmakers to mark their achievements as well as start a conversation on mental health issues that affect everyone. This focus on bringing attention to the effects of mental health issues as well as celebrating those who are affected by them adds a level of vulnerability that attendees can relate to.

JoJo Dye has truly made a name for herself within the Film and TV industry as the top marketing expert who can create high-end events for professionals to enjoy. The various roles that JoJo has filled throughout her professional career are a testament to her determination and top-notch people skills. Although a career in marketing can be cut-throat and often chaotic, at the end of the day, JoJo handles any challenges thrown at her and always brings her clients’ visions into fruition
