Visiting the Acropolis is a breath-taking experience that history lovers will marvel at. If shopping is your focus then head to Monastiráki Square which is full of unique shops. Kotor is the sort of image you may picture when thinking about cities in the Mediterranean. Surrounded by the sparkling sea on one side and striking, grey mountains on the other, it looks like something out of a fantasy film.
The old town is full of Medieval architecture and winding, narrow streets. There are quite a few stairs in Kotor so make sure you have your water filled up at all times. Take those stairs to the bulwarks that surround the town and gaze over the bay and into the mountains.

Home to 230 different species of birds, you may be lucky to see a sea of pink flamingos in the wetlands or the Spanish imperial eagle soaring ahead. As well as the endangered eagle fortunate visitors are able to glimpse an Iberian lynx which is also on the endangered list.
If you head towards the coast you will be rewarded with a golden beach as far as the eye can see. The Playa de La Cortadura stretches along the edge of Cadiz and can trick you into thinking you are in the Caribbean rather than the Mediterranean.
The Mediterranean has plenty to offer and a cruise is the best way to see it all in one jam-packed holiday.
