Michelle’s love for luxury travel was born from a love for her grandparents- and their love for the high life. Her earliest memories are infiltrated by gleaming cloches over gourmet dishes and well-dressed valet drivers, and she was sold on a life of luxury travel from then. Michelle’s journey with music began when the DJ for one of her events didn’t show up. Knowing full well you ‘can’t throw a party without music’, Michelle thought on her feet and ran to the.. kitchen. “Everyone go out to your cars and grab a CD”, she instructed her kitchen staff. A mismatched collection of CDs in her hand, she stepped up to the turntables to figure out how it worked. While there, she discovered an itch that she’s been scratching ever since- the power to control a room. The next day, Michelle took herself to the Scratch Academy to learn how to master her new passion.

Although the world of DJ-ing looks a little different today, Michelle’s passion for music remains steadfast. Now, she travels to clubs all over the world as THE Miami personality DJ. The glamour and elegance of Dubai’s party scene is unparalleled, and it remains her favorite place to perform.

Despite getting to see some of the most impressive corners of the earth, Michelle’s favorite destination remains St. Barth’s for glorious sunshine and daily festivities. She recommends the Eden Rock Hotel to experience great food, beaches and impeccable service, and hints that you might catch her there dancing on the tables. What Michelle loves most about St. Barths is the daytime party scene, mentioning Bagatelle and La Guerite as some of the hottest spots for a great time. Although there’s a lot of fun to be had jet-setting, Michelle is never one to forget the magic of her hometown. She describes a perfect 48 hours in Miami, spent at the Faena Hotel and hopping between the beach, spa, restaurant and theatre all on site. For further fun, Michelle would head to dinner at Zizzi’s or Carbone’s in Miami Beach and then onto either Gala or Liv for all-night dancing. Recover the next day with brunch at Mila in Miami beach, and if you have any more energy left for partying, hire a yacht to take you up to Kiki for a last hoorah with Miami’s river as a backdrop.

Of course, any well-seasoned traveller knows its not always glitz and glam. Michelle is full of tips on how to pack everything into a carry on after learning the hard way how disastrous a lost checked bag can be. Her advice to combat the blues that traveling can bring is to find some way to create home away from home wherever you go. For Michelle, Soho House provides that comfort. With the uncertainty that the pandemic brought when it hit in 2020, Michelle was left missing the excitement that DJ events brought into her life.
